Ronald Royal Jr.

Ronald Robert Royal Jr Bob of Troy, Texas went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, November 4, 2012 after a long battle with cancer.

Bob was born on November 26, 1951 in San Antonio, Texas. He grew up in the Harlingen San Benito, Texas area. Bob served in the United States Air Force as a Buck Sargent during the Vietnam era from May 1970 to July 1977. After Bob was honorably discharged from the Air Force he was a truck driver for several companies including McLane Southwest then he became an owner operator for Great Wide transportation dba BKT transportation. Bobs handle name was Tiny.

Bob married Linda F Gruber on June 14, 1975 in Austin, Texas.

He was preceded in death by his mother Mae Dell Dierking Royal his step brother Daniel A Meek. Bob is survived by his wife Linda F Royal of Troy, parents Ronald R Royal Sr wife Paula of Bandera, step son Kerry S Wathen Jr wife Paula of Mayetta, KS, son Ronald R Robert Royal III Bobby of Austin, daughters Kimberly J Royal Burtchell husband Tracy of Troy, Tana R Royal Benge husband Joshua of Troy. Bob is also survived by brother Bill Royal wife Tammie of Bandera, step brothers Joel Meek wife Christina of Victoria, Michael Meek wife Dawsie of Fredericksburg Mark Meek wife Kim of Kerrville. Bob has 8 grand kids. He is also survived by his beloved aunt Estella Boyd of Morgans Point Resort as well as several nieces nephews.

Bob was a long time member of Anchor of Hope Baptist Church in Belton. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his name to Odyssey Hospice or Anchor of Hope Baptist Church.
Visitation will be at Harper Talasek funeral home in Temple on Tuesday November 6, 2012 where family will accept friends family from 68 p.m. Funeral services will be on Wednesday, November 7, 2012 at 2 pm at Harper Talasek. Burial will follow at Temple Garden of Memories with full military honors.
