Services for Ron G. Ickles, 65, of Academy will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, February 3 at Harper-Talasek Funeral Home in Temple with Bishop Gregory Jaffers officiating. There
will be a private entombment following the service at Waco Memorial Park. Family welcomes you for food and fellowship at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints of
Temple after the service at the funeral home.
Mr. Ron G. Ickles died on Saturday, January 27 at his residence.
Ron Gene Ickes was born on November 6, 1952 to Henry Lee Ickles and Betty Jean Bibb Ickles in Corsicana, Texas. Ron was a proud republican. He was a member of Open
Carry Texas. A founding member of Rebel Company Militia and obtained the rank of Sergeant. Ron was also a patched member who served with Ghost Company Militia and
Texas Republican Militia. Ron was a Mormon by faith and attended the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints of Temple.
Survivors include his son, Joe Dressler; daughter LuAnn Flores; brother Don Ickles; two grandchildren, Jamari Dressler, Jay Leigh Dressler.
Ron is preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Betty Ickles.
Visitation will be held on Friday, February 2 from 6:00-8:00 pm at the funeral home.
Arrangements are in the care of Harper-Talasek Funeral Home in Temple.
