Rolando Roman Salazar, age 32, of Belton, Texas, passed away on Tuesday, July 14, 2026.

Rolando was born on January 4, 1994, in Temple, Texas, to Eric Torres Salazar and Rebecca Raquel Canavá. He graduated from Belton High School and worked for Patterson-UTI on a drilling rig. He married Jessica Guadalupe Salazar, with whom he built a loving family and shared many treasured memories.

Rolando enjoyed football, basketball, fishing, playing pool, spending time outdoors and watching the Dallas Cowboys. He especially loved being near the water and relaxing on his land while walking around the land. He was also involved with Takeover Flag Football. Above all, Rolando’s greatest joy came from spending time with his family. He worked hard to provide for them and dreamed of purchasing a home where they could continue building their future together.

Rolando was preceded in death by his father, Eric Torres Salazar.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Jessica Guadalupe Salazar; his mother, Rebecca Raquel Canava; his son, Miguel Isaac Rodriguez-Lopez; his daughters, Aniya Dawn Salazar and Amaya Mariela Lopez; his brother, Eric Noel Salazar; his sisters, Yvonne Salazar, Erica Salazar, Rebecca Salazar and Myranda Salazar; and many other relatives and friends who knew and loved him.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt appreciation to everyone who knew, loved and supported Rolando throughout his life.

A visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, July 22, 2026, at Harper-Talasek Funeral Home in Temple. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, July 23, 2026, at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery.
