Rojelio Roy Salinas Jr., 35, of Dallas, TX passed away June 29, 2011. Roy was born December 23, 1975, he graduated from Temple High School in 1994 and from Texas AM University in 1998 with a degree in Finance. Roy was a Senior Vice President at Citigroup, and most recently acted as Marketing Information Management Director. Roys generous spirit was often seen in his involvement in various civic and neighborhood organizations. He did Meals on Wheels once a month, and was very active in his Oak Cliff neighborhood and the Elmwood Neighborhood Association. He participated in cleaning up the local creek and ridding local businesses of graffiti. He was a member of Bike Friendly Oak Cliff. He was also a member of the Oak Cliff Running Club, and often volunteered his time for Go Oak Cliff, a nonprofit that works to improve the quality of life in the neighborhood. Roy is survived by his mother Mary Helen Salinas of Temple and his father Rojelio Salinas and stepmother Mary Lou of Troy, TX brother Rafael Faf Salinas, his wife Lorra, and daughter Sophia of Killeen, TX sisters Amanda Garcia and Dalai Salinas of Troy grandmother Frances Salinas of Troy and his beloved dog Coltrane. Roy was also survived by numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandparents Florencio and Angeline V. Castilleja and grandfather Silverio Salinas. Roy loved cycling, running, riding his scooter and was known for often taking risks in fashion. He was loved, adored and admired by many.
