Roger Cone

Roger B. Cone, 92, Of Temple, went to be with his Lord Sunday, April 22, 2012 at a long term care facility. Private family services will be held. Harper Talasek Funeral Home in Temple is entrusted with the services.
Roger was born in Minerva, Texas on November 22, 1919 to Ryan G. Cone and Winnie E. Dryer. In September of 1940 Roger enlisted in the US Army, and served his country proudly for 7 years and was honorably discharged at the rank of Master Sergeant. He later met and married Clarice Leeper and from this union came two children Roger D. Cone and Debra Barratt. Roger went on to work for Southwestern Bell as a lineman. He retired after 36 years.
Roger is preceded in death by his wife Clarice Leeper in 1982 and his parents.
He is survived by son Roger D. Cone and wife Sherry of Temple, Texas, daughter Debra Barratt of Temple, Texas, brothers: Emmitt Cone of Waco, Texas and Conway Cone of Minerva, Texas, grandchildren: Cory Cone of Georgetown, Texas and April Cone of Temple, Texas.
