Rogelio Ortiz, Sr.

Services for Rogelio Jesus Ortiz, Sr. will be held on Wednesday, September 2nd at 10:00 am at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church.
Rogelio Ortiz, Sr. passed away on August 29th at a local hospital.
Rogelio Ortiz, Sr. was born February 5, 1960 to Andres Ortiz and Celia Melendez Ortiz in San Luis Potosi, Mexico. He married the love of his life Felicitas Martinez. He moved to the United States in 1982. He enjoyed being on the road and later started his own transportation company which he retired from in 2008. Rogelio continued employment as a fabricator for Pactiv. He was outgoing and loved being with his family which showed by his smile.
Rogelio is preceded in death by his father.
He is survived by his mother, wife, four daughters; Celia Ortiz, Laura Ortiz, Dora Ortiz, Maria Ortiz, eight brothers; Arturo Ortiz and wife Asunsion, Manuel Ortiz and wife Macrina, Moises Ortiz and wife Irene, Jose Ortiz and wife Antonia, Marcelo Ortiz and wife Maria, Guadalupe Ortiz and wife Alicia, Francisco Ortiz and wife Maura, four sisters; Rosalba Ortiz, Juana Ortiz and husband Rogelio Labastida, Flora Ortiz and husband Luis Noe, Benigna Ortiz and eight grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 1st from 5-8 pm with rosary recited at 7:00 pm at Harper-Talasek Funeral Home Chapel.
