Robert S. Gutierrez died on Monday April 3, 2017, at his residence.

Robert Gutierrez was born on October 10, 1952 to Domingo Gutierrez and Anita Silvas Gutierrez in Skidmore, Texas. Robert was a Catholic by faith and taught his children to stand up and look people in the eye as a sign of respect. Robert was a selfless man. He enjoyed being with his family, barbequing, riding motorcycles, listening to his vinyl records, and collecting Native American heritage items. Robert was free spirited and young natured, but old in traditions.

Robert is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Kathleen Antrum Gutierrez; three brothers, Frank Gutierrez, Daniel Gutierrez, and Ruben Gutierrez.

Survivors include his son, Robert Ben Gutierrez; two daughters, Michelle Gutierrez and partner Carlysle Desouza, and Dominique Gutierrez; five brothers, Ben Gutierrez and wife Lee, Sammy Gutierrez, Tony Gutierrez, Domingo Gutierrez, and Demetrio Gutierrez and wife Nancy; two sisters, Sue Salinas and husband Victor, and Linda Gutierrez; and seven grandchildren.

Harper-Talasek Funeral Home in Temple is in charge of arrangements.
