Robert Ford

A private graveside ceremony for Robert Edsel. Ford, 97, of Houston formally of Temple will be held on Saturday, September 3, 2016.


Mr. Ford passed away on August 22, 2016. at a Houston Retirement Community.

Robert E. Ford was born on September 17, 1918 to Aubrey L. Ford and Ollie Dora Allison Ford. Robert graduated from Little River Academy High School and continued on for his Masters Degree at Texas State University as it is now known. He proudly served in the U.S. Navy and retired as a Lieutenant Commander in Houston, Tx. He was a member of the Retired Officers Association. He also served the Lord through the Christ Episcopal Church in Temple.

Mr. Robert E. Ford is preceded in death by his wife, Elleen Blakey Ford of 33 years, parents: Aubrey and Ollie Ford, sister: Melba Panek, and brother: Curtis Ford.

Survivors include his son, Robert Wade and wife Carol, daughters: Sharon Currans and husband Don, Linda Quinn and husband Larry, brother: Aubrey Ford, Jr., and seven grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.

Memorial donations may be made in Robert's name to Wilson Valley Cemetery Association
