Rena Causey

Mrs. Rena Causey, 88, of Temple, died Saturday, July 5, 2008 in a Temple hospital.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Monday, July 7, 2008 at Taylor's Valley Baptist Church in Temple with Rev. Larry Givens officiating. Burial will be in Moffat Cemetery.

Mrs. Causey was born to Luther and Inez Crump Grizzle in Crosbyton, Texas on February 20, 1920. She married W. H. Causey in Spur, Texas on November 11, 1939. She and her husband formerly lived in Brownwood, where he pastored Belle Plain Baptist Church from 1957-1964. They moved to Temple in 1964, where he pastored Heights Baptist Church from 1964-1974. She was a homemaker.

Survivors include one son, Larry Causey of Temple; one daughter, Loretta Bullion of Brownwood; one brother, Clyde Grizzle of California; one sister, Jean Causey of Oregon; four grandchildren; and three great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband and one son, George Causey, both in 1995.

Visitation will be Sunday from 5-7 P.M. at Harper-Talasek Funeral Home in Temple.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are requested to Taylor's Valley Baptist Church, 2497 West FM 93, Temple, Texas 76502.
