Rebecca "Becky"
Louise Hamblin Griggs
August 31, 1949 – May 23, 2026
Rebecca “Becky” Louise Hamblin Griggs passed away surrounded by the love of her family, leaving behind a lifetime of laughter, adventure, compassion, and unforgettable memories.
Becky was born on August 31, 1949, at Fort Benning, Georgia, to Marvin and Doreen Hamblin. As the daughter of a military family, she spent her childhood traveling and growing up alongside her siblings, Tina, Sherry, and Marvin, before graduating from Salado High School in Salado, Texas.
On April 10, 1981, Becky married the love of her life, Robert Lee Griggs III. Together they built a beautiful life filled with love, laughter, travel, and family. Through Robert’s military career, they embraced every adventure life brought them – camping and fishing in beautiful places, spending time at the lakes and intercoastals, towing their camper from park to park, riding with their motorcycle club, enjoying horse and dog races, and making treasured memories with their children in the mountains by the ocean.
Above all else, Becky loved her family deeply. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend whose home was always filled with warmth, humor, and love.
Becky dedicated 17 years of her life to nursing, caring for others, with compassion and kindness before retiring. Helping people was not just her profession – it was who she was. She poured her heart into caring for others and touched countless lives through her gentle spirit and generous heart.
She is survived by her beloved husband, Robert Lee Griggs III; her children Robert Lee Griggs IV (Tina), Joseph Arnold (Betsy), Beau Arnold (Keeley), Casey Frierson (Kevin), and Cassie Griggs; and her 16 cherished grandchildren Sophie, Joseph, Xoe, Oscar, Keegan, Kaleb, Kelsey, Robbie IV, Zach, Taylor, Kaylei, Baylee, Layla, Violet, Katie, and Preston.
She also leaves behind her treasured 5 great-grandchildren, Laina, Lucas, Codie, Oakley, and Elloise, along with many extended family members, 7 grand pups, and dear friends who will forever carry her memory in their hearts.
Becky’s life was one of love, adventure, service, and devotion to the people she cared about most. Her laughter, strength, and loving spirit will be deeply missed but forever remembered by all who knew and loved her.
A memorial service is scheduled for Saturday, May 30, 2026, at 12:00PM, at First Baptist Church Rogers, in Rogers, Texas. Following the service, refreshments will be served.
