Services for Polly Ann Chesser, 65, of Temple are set for 2:00 pm Friday at the Northside Church of Christ with Darrell Knight officiating.
Mrs. Chesser died Tuesday afternoon at her home.
Polly was born on October 27, 1947 to Andrew Marshall and Martha Pauline Rogers Crook at Memphis, TN. She graduated from Frayser High School and attended Memphis State University where she played basketball and softball. She enjoyed sports all of her life playing golf and league bowling. On May 25, 1996 she married Cliff Chesser in Arlington. Polly was a police officer for the City of Corsicana, served as the Executive Secretary to the Chief of Police in Temple and later as the Benefits Coordinator for the City of Temple. Her favorite enjoyment was watching all of her grandchildren as they participated in different activities. She was a member of the Northside Church of Christ.
Her father, Andrew Marshall Crook, Sr. and her brother, Andrew Marshall Crook, Jr. preceded her in death.
Survivors include her husband Cliff Chesser of Temple a daughter and her husband, Andrea and Ray Allen of Axtell three sons and their wives, Will and Jamie Chesser of Denver, CO, CW2 Ethan and Angela Chesser of Fort Bragg, NC, Cameron Grant and Amy Chesser of Temple mother, Martha Pauline Rogers Crook a sister, Sandi Ray of Frisco six grandchildren, Kolten Hurst, Hunter Hurst, Kaden Allen, Josh Allen, Michelle Allen, Hank Chesser and special friends Margaret and Lynn Salvany.
There will be a visitation at the church from 1:00 2:00 pm Friday prior to the service.
The family suggests that memorials may be made to the Vasicek Cancer Treatment Center Foundation at Scott White 2401 South 31st Temple, Texas 76508
