Pete Lara, 73 of Temple, passed from this life on Wednesday, December 4, 2019 in Temple, Texas. Services will be held at 10 am Monday, December 9, 2019 at Harper-Talasek Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Rogers Cemetery.
Pete was born on June 19, 1946 to Ignacio and Rufina Lara in Beeville, Texas.
He graduated from Academy High School in 1965. He retired from City of Temple after 25 years of service.
Mr. Lara is preceded in death by his father, Ignacio Lara; mother, Rufina Silvas-Lara; and Son- in- Law, Manuel Martinez.
He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Alice Garza-Lara; daughters, Michelle Lara Martinez and April Mungia Vasquez; and grandchildren, Arianna, Aiden, Aleena, Angelique, Elijah, and Gabriel Jr.
A time of visitation will be held from 6-8 pm Sunday, December 8, 2019 at the funeral home.
