Pedro F. Granado, affectionately known as Uncle Pete, was born on May 13, 1938, in Buckholts, Texas. He departed this life on August 19, 2024, leaving behind many cherished memories.
Pedro was a vibrant individual who found joy in a variety of pursuits. He was often seen at church and spending time outdoors. In his later years, he took pleasure in riding his bike, making daily stops at HEB and McDonald's, where he enjoyed socializing with friends. His enthusiasm for life was evident through his energetic demeanor and his passion for tinkering with his bikes.
He is remembered fondly by his family, including his nieces: Esther Lim, Josie Fraga, Susie Flores, Rosemary Lozano, Mary Ann Granado Morales, Janie Northmore, Linda Mendoza, and Dianne Anguiano. He also leaves behind his nephews: Albert Granado, Sammy Granado, Robert Granado, and Adam Anguiano. Pedro was preceded in death by his parents, Gil Granado and Aurelia Granado; brothers, Rosalio Granado, Isabel Granado, Lupe Mata, and Gil Granado; and sisters, Juanita Mata, Theresa Mendoza, and Josefina Lozano.
A visitation honoring Pedro will take place on Friday, August 23, 2024, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Harper-Talasek Funeral Home in Temple. The funeral service will follow on Saturday, August 24, 2024, at 11:00 AM, at the same location. Also, there will be a dinner at 12:30 at Bethel Church, 22621 SEHK Dodgen in Temple.
Pedro F. Granado leaves behind a legacy of love and community, and he will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege to know him.
