Pauline Perez, age 92 of Temple, passed away Friday, March 18, 2022, at home. Funeral services will be held at 2 pm Thursday, March 31, 2022, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Temple. Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery.
Pauline was born on July 23, 1929, to Agapito and Herminia Carrillo in Granger, Texas. She married Vincent Perez on December 24, 1950 and was married for 63 years. She enjoyed going to dances and listening to Tejano music. When she was younger, she worked for different families assisting with childcare, housekeeping, and cooking, where she perfected her delicious recipes. She loved cooking, baking, and shopping at estate and garage sales most Saturdays. She loved cats, especially her current cat, Mr. Diego, whom she cared for deeply. She loved plants and flowers and had many beautiful ones she cared for over the years. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and aunt. She was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Temple.
Pauline was preceded in death by her parents, Agapito and Herminia Carrillo; husband, Vincent Perez; brother, Fermin Carrillo; brother, Matilde Carrillo; brother, Justo Carrillo; brother, Vicente Carrillo; brother, Agapito Carrillo Jr.; sister, Lucy Santibanez; sister, Emilia Montez; sister, Paula Perez; sister, Madeline C. Almarez; sister, Manuela Carrillo; sister, Sophia Carrillo; and daughter, Ester Perez.
Those left to honor and cherish her memory are her brother, Timothy Carrillo; daughter, Carmen Nunez; daughter, Lupe Davis; daughter, Rachel Wilson; son, Vincent Perez Jr.; grandchildren, Aaron Krafft, Adrian Galloway, Marcus Perez, Ryan Davis, and Michelle Krafft; 12 great grandchildren; and 15 great great grandchildren.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the Northside Clinic in Temple, Texas, Standard Home Health & Hospice, Dr. Chitra K. Hamilton MD of Scott & White, Father Amado Ramos of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Temple, Texas and Scott & White Dementia Care Study and Staff.
A time of visitation will be held from 5-7 pm with a holy rosary recited at 7 pm Wednesday, March 30, 2022, at Harper-Talasek Funeral Home in Temple.
