Paul Francis

Memorial Service for Paul D. Francis Sr., 75, of Temple will be held 10 AM, Monday, October 22, 2018 at Harper-Talasek Funeral Home in Temple. Inurnment and Military Services will be held at Central Texas Veterans State Cemetery in Killeen at 12 PM on Monday, October 22, 2018. Mr. Francis passed from this life peacefully on Tuesday, October 9, 2018.

Paul was born December 3, 1942 in Albany, NY to John A. and Irene Francis. Paul had a long and distinguished career with the United States Army. the Army brought Paul and his family to Central Texas in 1964 and after his retirement they settled here. He was a faithful Christian man who was raised catholic. After his retirement he began his own janitorial contracting company in the area. Paul was described as a jack of all trades, a true fix it man. He was a builder and could handle anything electrical or plumbing. He was a creative and artistic man. He loved the outdoors. To be outside hunting or fishing was a true place of happiness for Paul. Paul was known for his quirky sense of humor. Mr. Francis was fun-loving and tenacious guy that was loved by many. He was always there for his friends and family in a time of need to lend a helping hand. Paul was a kind, gentle and compassionate man. He was a strong father and man for his family and will always be remembered as a hero. Paul will be greatly missed by all those who knew and loved him.

Mr. Francis is preceded in death by his parents, and a brother, Charles Francis.

Those left to honor and cherish his memory are his beloved wife of many years, Alice Francis; son, Paul Francis Jr.; daughters, Tina Francis, Lee Ann Bushbaker; brother, Johnny Francis; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren with one on the way.
