Paul Brooks

Services for Paul Forrest Brooks, 75, of Temple, will be at 10:00 am on Friday, January 20, 2017 at Harper-Talasek Funeral Home.

Paul Forrest Brooks went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, January 17, 2017 at his residence.

Paul F. Brooks was born on August 23, 1941 to Grace Forrest Brooks and Grant Brooks in Temple, Texas. He graduated from Temple High School in 1959. He was a firefighter with the Temple Fire Department. He owned Paul's Drive-In and founded Paul Brooks Builder Co. where he built homes for more than 30 years. He was a great family man and loving father. He married Linda Lazek on October 13, 1963. Together they had four children. He was a social, active man who was deeply involved in running two businesses for the majority of his life. He enjoyed barbequing with his family and playing horseshoes.

Survivors include his wife, Linda; two daughters, Charlotte Brooks and Cyndi White; son, Paul "PJ" Brooks Jr. and wife Katie; and three grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his daughter Jennifer; and his brother, Grant Brooks.

Visitation will be held at 6:00 - 8:00 pm on Thursday, January 19, 2017 at the funeral home.

The family would like to thank all the family, friends and healthcare personnel for their kindness and generosity.
