Patricia Motl, 75, of Temple, Texas, passed away on Sunday, February 2, 2025.
Funeral services will be held at 11 am on Monday, February 10, 2025, at Harper-Talasek Funeral Home in Temple, with burial to follow at Seaton Cemetery.
Patricia was born on July 29, 1949, in Temple, Texas, to Oscar Ray Jennings and Maxie Jean Cogburn. She attended Temple High School and later pursued her passion at Temple Beauty College. Over the years, she served as a substitute teacher for Temple I.S.D., worked as a florist for Patsy’s Flower Shop in Temple, and was a dedicated member of the Seaton Cemetery board.
A woman full of life and energy, Patricia had a talent for baking cakes, cutting hair, and embracing every adventure that came her way. She loved attending BBQ cook-offs with her beloved husband, Donald, and found joy in the simple pleasures of the outdoors. Music and dancing were among her favorite pastimes, but above all, she cherished the moments spent with her family, especially her grandchildren, who brought her endless happiness.
Patricia’s warmth, spontaneity, and love for life will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
She was preceded by her parents, Oscar and Maxie; husband, Donald R. Motl, Sr.; and grandson, Tyler Motl.
Survivors include her son, Donald R. Motl, Jr.; daughter, Samantha Faraoni and spouse, Shane; brothers, Steve Jennings, Eddy Jennings, Rodney Cogburn, Ryan Cogburn, and Rollin Cogburn; sisters, Amelia Ivy, Roma Maslek, and Barbara Loper; grandchildren, Abbie Faraoni, Codi Faraoni, and Skyler Motl; great grandchildren, Marilyn Motl, Ryder Nance, Emberlyn Nance, and one on the way.
A time of visitation will be held from 2-4 pm Sunday, February 9, 2025 at the funeral home.
