Patricia Mitchell

July 27, 1942 — April 6, 2015

Services for Patricia Ann Mitchell, 72, of Salado will be 1:00 p.m. Monday, April 13 at Harper-Talasek Funeral Home in Temple with Billy Johnson officiating. Fellowship will follow at the Harper-Talasek Family Center. Burial will be in Greathouse Cemetery at 3:30 p.m.

Mrs. Mitchell died Monday, April 6 at her home in Salado.

Pat was born July 27, 1942 in Houston, Texas to Jim and Mary Meadors Ainsworth. She graduated from high school in Houston and, at the age of 16, married Donny Mitchell on June 4, 1957. To this union three children were born. She owned and operated her own restaurant, Pat's Cafe, for many years. She was a member of New Hope Baptist Church in Gerald. Pat enjoyed tending the flowers in her yard and spending time with Donny. They were together until his death on October 27, 2010. One of her fondest memories was of them sneaking away to go swimming late at night.

Pat was preceded in death by her husband, two brothers, and her parents.

Survivors include two sons, Donald Mitchell and Ronald Mitchell and wife Denette; daughter Kathy Ingle and husband Ricky; sister Linda Pettit and husband Douglas; 13 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren, and many friends.

Visitation will be from 6 - 8 p.m. Sunday, April 12 at the funeral home.

Harper-Talasek Funeral Home in Temple is in charge of arrangements.
