Norman Schulte

Norman Anthony Schulte, age 81 of Temple, departed from this life Wednesday, May 27, 2020 at a local care facility. Funeral services will be held at 10 am Monday, June 8, 2020 in the Harper-Talasek Funeral Home Chapel in Temple. Burial will take place at 1 pm, later that same day, at the Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Killeen.

Norman was born on August 15, 1938 to Douglas Shulte and Jeta Hammersmith in Cleveland, Ohio. Norman joined the United States Army on April 7, 1958 and served until January 20, 1961. He was also employed at the Sammons Golf Course in Temple until retirement in 2013. Norman was passionate about cooking, and loved trying new recipes and sharing them with friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents; and his brother.

Those left to honor and cherish his memory are his special friends, Shirley Brown, Kaye Robinson and Elbert Roach, all of Temple; as well as a host of other friends.

Norman’s loved ones would like to extend a special thanks to the caring people at Kindred Hospice for their help, support and love.

A time of visitation will be held at 9 am Monday at the funeral home, prior to the service.
