Naomi Bagley Michalewicz, a beloved member of the Temple community, passed away Friday, October 20, 2023, at the age of 92. Funeral services will be held at 11 am Saturday, October 28, 2023, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Lott, Texas. Burial will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery.
Naomi was born on February 14, 1931, in Travis, Texas to the late William Fletcher and Zula Lois (Smith) Bagley. Naomi was a graduate of Lott High School and went on to lead a fulfilling life centered around her family, faith, and passions. She was an active member of St. Luke's Catholic Church in Temple and found solace in her unwavering devotion to her faith. Naomi was a huge football fan. Her passion for football was unparalleled as she cheered on both the Temple Wildcats and the Dallas Cowboys with unrivaled enthusiasm. In addition to her love for football, Naomi enjoyed gardening, sewing, cross-stitching, and engaging in various arts and crafts endeavors that allowed her creativity to flourish. She also had a talent for baking that brought delight to those fortunate enough to taste her creations. Collecting recipes became one of her proudest accomplishments as she sought out new flavors to share with loved ones.
Naomi leaves behind cherished memories shared with family and friends who will forever honor and miss her presence. She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Reuben "Gene" Eugene Michalewicz; their son, Stephen Lynn Michalewicz, as well as her sister, Dorothy Rector. She is survived by her son, Larry Michalewicz and his wife, Deanna; sister, Ruth Ballard; and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

A time of visitation will be held from 5-7 pm with a rosary recited at 7 pm Friday, October 27, 2023, at Harper-Talasek Funeral Home in Temple.
