Murry Ham

alignjustifyMurry Myrl Ham, 82 of Temple, passed away Saturday, February 21, 2009 at his residence. Funeral service will be 2:00pm Monday at First Christian Church in Temple with Rev. Don Lynn officiating. Burial will follow in Bellwood Memorial Park in Temple.

alignjustifyMurry Ham was born June 30, 1926 to Neal and Lela Mae Stouard Ham in Breckenridge, Texas. On September 18, 1948, he married Bobbie James in Velera, Texas. Mr. Ham served our country in the United States Army, where he served in the Philippine Islands. He worked for Santa Fe Railroad in Brownwood for 6 years. He also worked for and Texas International and Continental Airlines for 30 years. Murry Ham was a Funeral Assistant at Harper-Talasek Funeral Home for 20 years. He served as Assistant Scout Master for the Boy Scouts of America, Troop 150, for 8 years. Mr. Ham was a member of the First Christian Church in Temple where he served as an Elder for several years.

alignjustifySurvivors include: wife Bobbie Ham of Temple, sons; Jimmy Ham of San Antonio and Stephen Ham of Cedar Park, sisters; Jean Wells of Temple, and Nell Mc Laurin of El Paso, and 4 grandchildren.

alignjustifyIn lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to First Christian Church, 300 North 5th Street, Temple, Texas 76501.

alignjustifyVisitation will be 5:00-7:00pm Sunday at Harper Talasek Funeral Home in Temple.
