Mr. Montie J. Kitching, 88, of Heidenheimer, died Monday, December 1, 2008 in a Temple hospital.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Friday, December 5, 2008 in Davilla Cemetery with Rev. Billy Ray Crow officiating.
Mr. Kitching was born to Karl Knox Kitching and Janie Murl Mosley Kitching near Rogers on March 31, 1920. He was a resident of Bell and Milam Counties most of his life. Prior to his retirement in 1985, he served as a seaman with the Merchant Marines for 45 years. He was also engaged in ranching for several years.
Survivors include two sons, Sam Kitching of Charleston, West Virginia and David Kitching of Buckholts; one sister, Olive Lanelle Hill of Temple; two grandchildren; and three great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, and two wives, Dorothy Kitching in 1956 and Clara Berry Kitching in 2008.
