Services for Molly Elaine Kirk, 72, of Temple, Texas, will be on Saturday, May 11, at 10:00 A.M. at First Lutheran Church, with a private burial following at Salado Cemetery.

Mrs. Kirk died on May 3 in Temple. She was born on November 24, 1946, in Bell County to William Cecil Brown and Ruth Marie Brown. She graduated from Temple High School in 1964. She married Frank Vanecek and they had two sons, Jeff and John. She married Lakin D. Kirk in 1996 and remained married to him until her death. She worked for the Temple Daily Telegram and Southwestern Bell. She was the owner of Upscale Interior Consignments in Salado. She and her husband were co-owners of Friendly Folks Cleaning Service. She was a lifelong member of First Lutheran Church and shared her many talents with her Church in many capacities. She was an accomplished quilter and bestowed upon her family, friends, and church her gifts of love.

She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Jack and Butch Brown.

She is survived by her husband, Lakin, her grandson, Brandon Vanecek, and her brothers, Tom, Ed, and Gene Brown.
