Modesta Mungia

Modesta Cerrantez Mungia, 75, of Temple passed away December 25, 2012 at a local hospital. Visitation will be Thursday, December 27, 2012 from 57 with a rosary at 7. A chapel service will be held Friday, December 28, 2012 at HarperTalasek Funeral home Temple with Rev. Tom Chamberlain officiating. Burial will be at Hillcrest Cemetery following the service.
Modesta was born on June 6, 1937 to Tanislado and Epifamia Cervantez in San Marcos, Texas. She was a home maker and loved everything about being a wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She enjoyed Bingo, gardening, cooking and flowers.
She is preceded in death by her husband Robert Mungia in 2003.
Modesta is survived by her daughters Juanita Martinez of Temple, Becky Mendoza of Temple, and Fannie Tobar of Temple, her sons Robert Mungia of Hereford, Gabriel Mungia of Temple, Tony Tanislado Mungia of Houston, Jessie Mungia of Hereford, and Arthur Mungia of Temple, sisters Eloisa Hernandez of Ft. Worth, Mary Cervantez of Abilene, Josie Cervantez of Lamesa, Celestina Hernandez of Lamesa, brothers Felix Cervantez of Lamesa, Nicolas Cervantez of Lamesa, Ricky Cervantez of Lamesa, and Paul Cervantez of Lamesa 23 grandchildren and several great grandchildren. Harper Talasek Funeral Home Temple is in charge of services.
