Milton Massengale

Milton Wayne Massengale, age 77 of Temple, passed away Wednesday, November 11, 2020, at a local care facility. Graveside services will be held at 2 pm Wednesday, November 18, 2020, at Hillcrest Cemetery in Temple.

Milton was born on January 9, 1943, to Albert (Bert) and Francis Massengale in Orange, Texas. He graduated from Temple High School. Milton attended Temple Junior College, Mary Hardin Baylor College (where he was “Campus Boy”), and East Texas State College at Commerce where he earned a Bachelor of Arts and Criminal Psychology degree. He was self-employed most of his life and was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church of Temple. Milton was a gun enthusiast and loved to hunt. He also enjoyed reading and spending time with his beloved beagles that he owned throughout his lifetime.

Milton is preceded in death by his parents, Bert and Francis Massengale.

Those left to honor and cherish his memory are his brother, John A. Massengale; and his nieces, Cheryl J. Baker; Mary Ann Chandler; and Linda Copeland.

The family has entrusted Harper-Talasek Funeral Home in Temple with arrangements.
