Milfred Meskill

Milfred Marvin “Mel” Meskill, age 73 of Moody, passed away Sunday, October 4, 2020 at his home. Funeral services will be held at 10 am Friday, October 9, 2020 at Harper-Talasek Funeral Home in Temple.

Milfred was born on June 23, 1947 to Bert Gordon and Mildred Marjorie (Lamkin) Meskill in Prentice, WI.  He grew up in Northern California.  He graduated from Fortuna High School in Eureka, California.  Milfred was drafted into the United States Army in 1967.  He proudly served for 23 years.  He married Phyllis Jean Rising on April 30, 1971.  Milfred was a big advocate for 2nd Amendment Rights.  He was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in The Grove, TX.

Milfred is survived by his wife, Phyllis Jean Meskill; brother, James G. Meskill; 3 children: Peggy Ann Sharp; Michael Eugene Meskill; and Matthew Marvin Meskill; 6 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild and several nieces and nephews.
