Mildred Brown

Services for Mildred Fouts Brown, 89, of Salado, will be 11:00 a.m., Monday, March 7 at First Baptist Church of Jarrell with Max Johnson officiating. Burial will be in Rosemound Cemetery in Waco at 2:00 p.m..

Mrs. Brown died Tuesday, March 1, 2016 at a local care facility.

Mildred was born in Leroy, Texas on September 5, 1926 to John A. Fouts and Hester Ragan Fouts. She attended school in Waco and in Glensdale, Arizona. She worked in a clothing factory in Palestine during World War II, for the International Optical Lab for eight years, and for Continental Baking Company for sixteen years. She was a member of Jarrell Baptist Church.

Mrs. Brown was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond; sisters, Dorothy Lawson, Louise Griggs, and Melba Stroud; and a brother, John W. Fouts.

She is survived by a step-son, Raymond C. Brown, Jr.; sister-in-law Ann Fouts; and several nieces and nephews.
