Memorial services for Melanie Rose Diaz, infant, of Killeen, will be held at 1:00 pm on Tuesday, January 24, at Harper-Talasek Funeral Home in Temple.

Melanie Rose Diaz died on Wednesday, January 18, 2017 at a local hospital.

Melanie R. Diaz was the infant daughter to Breana Anita DeLeon-Diaz and Jose Luis Diaz-Cruz in Temple, Texas. Melanie was a stubborn and active girl. Mommy had many cravings especially spicy foods and mountain dew. She was a daddy's girl as she always kicked when she heard his voice. Her first gift by her parents was pink tutu and her memories will always come to light when they see small zoo animals which would have decorated her room.

She is survived by her parents, grandparents, Michelle DeLeon, Ricardo DeLeon, Monica Cruz, Luis Diaz, three uncles and two Aunts.

A special thank you to all the friends and family for their support and specially nurse Meagan McMahon and Dr. Lauren Smith, Chaplain Synder, and Delta Company for all your care.

Arrangements are in the care of Harper-Talasek Funeral Home in Temple.
