Matthew Watson

Services for Matthew Kirk Watson, 51, of Temple, TX will be 2pm Wednesday, June 16 at Grace Presbyterian Church. Visitation will be 68pm Tuesday, June 15 at HarperTalasek Funeral Home.

Matthew died at home on Sunday morning, June 13 in his home in Temple, TX. He was born December 7, 1958 in St Joseph, MO. He attended Lansing Christian High School in Michigan where he performed in stage plays, lettered in basketball, quarterbacked in football. He attended college at NWMSU in Maryville, Missouri with a basketball scholarship and active in the Delta Chi Fraternity. He worked for Direct TV in Austin and Atlanta. He owned his own business, Dreamers in Galveston. As a musician, he wrote many country rock nroll songs. In Temple he worked with the childrens group LOGOS at Grace Presbyterian Church.

Survivors include his beloved mother, Betty Watson of Temple a brother, David and his wife Jane of Pompano Beach, Florida nieces, Candice Arron and grandnephew, Noah and grandniece, Lilly.
