Mary White

Mary Katherine White, 93, of Temple died Friday, February 29, 2008 at her residence.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Monday, March 3, 2008 at Hillcrest Cemetery in Temple with Dr. Bob Little officiating.

Mrs. White was born to Claud and Bell Mae Wofford White in Temple on January 16, 1915. She lived most of her life in Temple, with the exception of 25 years, when she lived in Picayune, Mississippi. She was a descendant of a pioneer Bell County family. She married Carl Grady White in Brazoria County, Texas on March 23, 1941. He preceded her in death on January 6, 1992. She was a member of Memorial Baptist Church in Temple. She was also a member of Vashti Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star.

Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Leo Patty Bender of Temple; one brother, Harold White of Angleton; four grandchildren, Ryan Bender, Lee Bender, Lesley Blount, and Michelle Hoffman; and seven greatgrandchildren, Christian Hoffman, Elizabeth Hoffman, Alex Hoffman, Trae Bender, Seth Bender, Clara Bender, and Vinson York.

Visitation will be Sunday from 6-8 P.M. at Harper-Talasek Funeral Home in Temple.
