Mary Duarte Rios, age 81 of Temple, passed from this life Wednesday, January 17, 2024, at home. Services will be held at Harper-Talasek Funeral Home in Temple on Monday, January 22, 2024, with a visitation starting at 10 am and funeral to follow at 11 am. Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery.

Mary was born on April 2, 1942, to Joe and Eva Duarte in San Antonio, Texas. She was a homemaker.

Mary is preceded in death by her parents; and brothers, Joe Duarte, Jr., and Henry Duarte.

Survivors include her husband, C. G. (Mike) Rios; brother, Robert Duarte; sister, Leticia D. Ricondo; son, Johnnie Joe Rios and wife, Antonia; daughter, Monica Rios; 2 grandchildren, Amanda Hernandez, and James Anderson, Jr.; and great grandson, Nathaniel Hernandez.
