Mary Miller

Mary Lou Miller of Troy died Monday, March 21 surrounded by family and friends at Park Place Manor Nursing Home in Belton. She was born January 4, 1927 in Waco, Texas.

Miss Miller was preceded in death by her parents Rayburn and Bess Miller of Troy and her brother Pat Miller and his wife Annelle.

She is survived by her brother Ed Miller and wife Frances of Belton. She is also survived by Sherry Miller Bugg of Whitney, Jim Miller and wife Betty of Ft Worth, Janie Miller and partner Elizabeth Grill of Houston, and Susie Miller Thomas and husband Freddie of Eastland. Surviving great nieces and nephews are Jennifer and Rodney May, Julie and Chris Croom, Katy and James Keener, Chris and Jana Miller, Lauren Miller, Kassie, Michael and John Alligood, Glenn and Felicia Thomas, Matt and Christine Thomas, and Laney and Clay Pence. She also had 10 greatgreat nieces and nephews. She is also survived by many children that she supported through Worlds Children International, Stephanie and Bruce McAtee and their 2 boys and Kellie and Kevin Johnson and their 2 boys as well as a large community of friends in Troy.

She was retired from the United States Post Office and was an Avon Representative for 39 years. She was an avid Cubs fan and Baylor womens basketball fan.

The family of Mary Lou Miller invites her friends to remember her at a Memorial Service. We will follow her example of praising her Lord, enjoying each other, smiling and laughing, and dressing comfortably.

Visitation will be at Troy United Methodist Church Fellowship Hall on Friday, March 25 at 1:00 pm. Memorial Service will follow in the sanctuary at 2:30 pm. Interment of cremains at Roberts Cemetery in Troy will follow immediately after the Memorial Service.

In lieu of flowers, Miss Miller requested that memorials be made to Troy United Methodist Church Permanent Building Fund PO Box 9, Troy, TX 76579 or Worlds Children International PO Box 2708 Corvallis, OR 97339.
