Mary Grubbs

Services for Mary Hester Grubbs, 85, of Temple, will be 11 a.m. Monday, January 13, 2014, at HarperTalasek Funeral Home in Temple with Rev. Rick Reed officiating. Burial will follow in Moffat Cemetery in Moffat, Texas.

Mrs. Grubbs died Thursday, January 9, at a local care facility.

She was born December 28, 1928, in Old Howard, Texas to Roy Pryor and Rhoda Hester Wood Pryor. She was employed by the American Desk Manufacturing Company for many years prior to her retirement on July 31, 1991. It was while working for American Desk that she met and then married Albert Grubbs. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church and was a true caregiver to her family.

Mrs. Grubbs was preceded in death by her parents her husband Albert and three sons, Butch Jackson, Buster Jackson, and Albert Earl Grubbs.

She is survived by her son and daughterinlaw, Roy and Cathy Grubbs of Temple a sister, Doris Sexton of Houston three grandchildren, Roy Elton Grubbs, Jr., Glenn Earl Grubbs, Jason Boyd and five greatgrandchildren.

The family requests that donations be made to Calvary Baptist Church, 1102 South 35th Street, Temple, 76504.

Visitation will be 68 p.m. Sunday, January 12, at the funeral home.
