Services for Marvin Louis Weber, 82, of Troy, will be 10 a.m. Saturday, January 13, at First Baptist Church in Belton with Pastor Tom Henderson officiating.

Mr. Weber passed away peacefully on January 6, 2018 in McGregor. He was born in Dodge City, KS on March 29, 1935 to Norman Louis and Forest Okema (Kay) (Riggs) Weber.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 61 years, Helen (Yager) Weber, of McGregor, TX.

He also leaves behind 3 daughters, Linda Weber of Temple, TX., Karen Carter (Kurt) of Madison, AL., and Sandra Pollard (Keith) of Troy, TX., and a son James Weber of Cedar
Park, TX., and an ex-son-in-law Larry Wilson of Temple, TX

Marvin is also survived by 5 grandchildren, Kristina Carter of Foley, AL., Kim Surratt (Dan) of Harvest, AL., Kevin Carter of Mobile, AL., April Wilson of Belton, TX and Amber
Wilson of Troy, TX., and 3 great grandchildren Taylor Surratt, Robert Surratt of Harvest, AL., and Brayden Shafer of Belton.

He was preceded in death by his parents, sister and a great granddaughter, Autumn Surratt.

Marvin and Helen married on July 13, 1956, after courting for only 11 months. Helen's dad said their marriage would not survive. Dad will say it was only by the grace of God
that they survived.

Marvin was a machinist for over 40 years. He retired from Centrifugal Castings in Temple after 20 years of service.

Marvin was a very Godly man and raised his family going to church every time the doors were open. He was also active with Campers on Mission, CTLC, Texas Baptist Men,
Red Cross, and Hope for the Hungry. He was not an idle man. He stayed busy.

In his younger years, he spent time with his family going on bicycle rides, playing tennis and camping.

Marvin would request not to have flowers or plants. He would appreciate any donations going to Campers on Mission, CTLC, Hope for the Hungry, Cancer Research, or a
charity of your choice in his honor.

Visitation will be from 5 - 8 p.m. Friday, January 12, at Harper-Talasek Funeral Home in Temple.
