Marvin Lowery

Services for Marvin Wayne Lowery, 95, of Temple, will be 2 p.m. Monday, March 10, 2014 at Canyon Creek Baptist Church in Temple with Pastor Trey Turner and Pastor Ronnie Hood officiating. Burial will follow at Salado Cemetery in Salado, Texas.

Mr. Lowery died Friday, March 7, 2014 at his residence.

He was born November 21, 1918 in McDowell, Missouri to Alfred Fred Henderson Lowery and Lavena Bennett Lowery. He served in the United States Navy from 1943 1945 as a second class aviation metal smith. He married Novella Leigh Thomason in Corpus Christi on November 1, 1969, and she preceded him in death in 2002. He married Evelyn Rose on August 20, 2005. He was employed as an aircraft repairman for the civil service administration for over 36 years. He lived in the Temple area for 28 years and was a member of the Canyon Creek Baptist Church and a Mason.

Mr. Lowery was preceded in death by his wife, Novella three brothers, Maurice, Gordon, and Howard and a sister, Louise Prier.

He is survived by his wife, Evelyn son Fred Lowery and wife Lillie brother Olin Lowery two grandchildren and four greatgrandchildren.

Visitation will be from 1 2 p.m. Monday, March 10, 2014 at Canyon Creek Baptist Church in Temple.
