July 5, 1950 — April 5, 2012
Marvin Arthur Getz, 61, of Temple, died April 5, 2012 at a local hospital. A funeral service will be 11:00am, Saturday, April 14, 2012 at HarperTalasek Funeral Home Chapel, Temple, Texas. A burial will follow in Roberts Cemetery, Troy, Texas, under the direction of HarperTalasek Funeral Home, Temple, Texas.
Marvin was born July 5, 1950 in Redding, PA, the son of the late Paul H.F. Getz and Elanor Brokenshire Getz. He was a member of the Elks, Moose Lodge and the Eagles. Marvin enjoyed woodworking and tinkering on his car. He also enjoyed playing pool.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Marvin is survived by his brother Richard Getz and wife Dorathy, several nieces, nephews and a host of dear friends.
