Martha Messer

Mrs. Martha Lou Messer, 67, of Springfield, Missouri, and formerly of Temple, died Wednesday, May 21, 2008 in a Springfield hospital.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, May 24, 2008 at Moffat Cemetery with Dr. Tom Henderson officiating.

Mrs. Messer was born to Odie and Billie Carberry Thompson on Temple on April 14, 1941. She formerly was employed as manager of Gibson's Discount Center. She attended Heights Baptist Church in Temple.

Survivors include two sons, Ricky Milton of Springfield, Missouri, and Jerimy Milton of Round Rock; two daughters, Toni Tate of Temple and Carla Mullany of Belton; one brother, James Thompson of Houston; one sister, Gaye Lynn Butler of Waco; eight grandchildren; and nine great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Kenneth Thompson.
