Marianne Manning

Mrs. Marianne Elizabeth Manning, 57, of Troy, died Monday, October 20, 2008 in a Temple hospital following a lengthy battle with cancer.

Mrs.Manning was cremated and memorial services will be held at 4:00 P.M. Saturday, October 25, 2008 at Harper-Talasek Funeral Home in Temple with Rev. Darrell Price officiating.

Mrs. Manning was born to Donald and Beulah Mae Garlock Jessen in Austin, Texas on November 25, 1950. She was a graduate of Sam Houston State University, and was employed as a school teacher with the Troy I.S.D. for 23 years, prior to retiring due to ill health.

Survivors include a son, Marcus Lee Manning of Troy; and two brothers, Donald Jessen of Temple and Michael Jessen of Seguin. She was preceded in death by her husband, Barry Lee Manning on May 23, 1994.
