With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Maria Jaramillo Martinez, lovingly known as Mary, of Rogers, TX. She passed away at Baylor Scott & White Hospital on March 26, 2025, at the age of 78. Born on January 23, 1947, in Buckholts, TX, to Ramon and Bibiana Jaramillo, Mary spent her final moments surrounded by those who loved her.
Mary was a devoted wife, loving mother, and proud Wella. She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Joe A. Martinez Sr.; her son, Joe A. Martinez Jr.; her daughter, Jennifer Maria Keaton and her husband, Timothy Scott Keaton; her grandchildren, Hannah Michelle Martinez, Nicolas Scott Keaton and his wife, Laine Keaton, and Joseph Scott Keaton and his wife, Taylor Keaton; and her great-granddaughters, Evangeline Rae Keaton, Lucille Scott Keaton, and Kodi Ann Keaton. She is also survived by her sister, Virginia J. Pina, and many loving nieces and nephews.
Mary was the heart of her family, always putting others first and giving unconditional love. She never missed an opportunity to support her children and grandchildren, whether at football games, baseball fields, or any other event. She was also a true friend to many, always offering a kind word and a helping hand.
A dedicated member of St. Matthew Catholic Church in Rogers, Mary's faith was central to her life. She regularly attended Mass, participated in church activities, and lived by the values of kindness, service, and love. Her faith was a source of strength, which she shared with those around her, always leading by example.
Throughout her life, Mary stood by her husband, Joe, with patience and love. No matter what activities, projects, or volunteer work he took on, she was right there beside him, supporting him every step of the way. Whether at community events, fundraisers, or helping those in need, she was his steady partner, always ready to lend a hand.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers, Pedro Jaramillo, Raymond Jaramillo, Adelaido Jaramillo, Vicente Jaramillo, and Richard Jesse Jaramillo; her half-brother, Antonio Jaramillo Sr; her sisters, Guadalupe Munoz, Anita Quintero, Siprianta Montablo, and Patricia Garcia; and her half-sisters, Trinida Munoz and Delores Mendoza.
