She enjoyed teaching them how to play Skip-bo, her favorite card game & Dominoes. She even taught her Johnson great-grandkids how to make chicken & dumplings. She was
a wonderful Christian example to her whole family.

Margie was a 2nd Lieutenant, RN in the Army during WWII at Ft. Bliss, El Paso, where she met her "then patient," husband-to-be, Jimmy, whom she nursed back to good health.
She kept her nursing license until she was 80.

Margie was a Servant for the Lord worshipping many years at the 41st & Ave. T Church of Christ. She was involved with ladies Bible class & taught Sunday school, and volunteered
at the food pantry "Love of Christ" here in Temple. She supported the Chimala Mission Hospital in Tanzania, South Africa, for many years. Her Christian spirit was seen in the
halls of Scott & White Hospital as she visited many over the years. She also made afghans and pillows for numerous patients of several nursing homes in the Temple area. When
the Children's Hospital opened, she was excited to make baby blankets and pillows for the sick children.

She enjoyed playing golf and held office with the Ladies Golf Association. Her most important walk in life was loving the Lord and her family, setting a Christian example for others
in her peaceful smiling life. She brought joy to her Veteran friends at William Courtney as she whistled tunes and sang "You Are My Sunshine."

The family would like to thank Home Instead, especially Carla Fields for their kindness, love and attention to Mother, especially during the fun times playing Dominoes and Skip-bo.
Also, S & W- 4 North staff for their loving care, and Dr. Autumn Stratton & nurses' Angela & Valerie for making this a peaceful transition.
