Margie Chutes

Margie Lou Walker Chutes, 76 of Temple, passed away Sunday, February 14, 2010 in a Temple hospital. Funeral service will be 10:00am Wednesday at HarperTalasek Funeral Home chapel in Temple with Rev. Billy Crow officiating. Burial will be at a later date.

Margie Walker Chutes was born October 16, 1933 in Meridian, Texas to Ernest and Mary Melasky Walker. She was married to Robert Chutes 49 years ago in Bell County. She worked as a housewife. She also volunteered At Regency Manor in Temple for over 20 years. Mrs. Chutes was of nondenominational faith, and attended several churches in the area.

Preceding her in death are her daughter, Mary Douzat, and brother, Marvin Walker.

Survivors include her husband, Robert Chutes of Temple, sons James OMary of Temple, and Mike Soloman and wife Odessa of Virginia, daughters Rita Kovar and husband Johnny of Caldwell, Pat Buck of Palestine, and Kathy Sodek and husband David of Temple, brother, Gary Walker and wife Mary of Troy, sister, Bonnie Beckett of Temple, 14 grandchildren, and 24 great grandchildren.

Visitation will be 9:0010:00am Wednesday at HarperTalasek Funeral Home chapel in Temple.
