Margarito Berumen
Services for Margarito Berumen, 71, of Temple, will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday, October 22, 2016 at Harper-Talasek Funeral Home in Temple with Elder Daniel Cantu of Lake Belton Congregation officiating. Burial will follow in North Belton Cemetery.
Mr. Berumen died surrounded by his family on Tuesday, October 18, at a local hospital.
Margarito Berumen was born June 10, 1945 in Mexico to Juan Berumen and Josefa Garcia. He moved to San Antonio in 1967 and worked as a ranch hand for several years. He moved to Central Texas in 1970 and worked as a drywall installer. His hobbies were building homes, crafting furniture, cooking and being outdoors. Music was a large part of him. He created his own music and he enjoyed teaching his skills to his family. He loved spending time with his family and friends. He never met a stranger. His hearts joy was making people laugh. He would lovingly make jokes at ones expense. He was a people person and he was surrounded with the best family and friends. Margarito had a servants heart he was compassionate, loving and giving. He was an honest and humble man who taught these vital principles to his family. He is a member of the Jehovah Witness Temple Congregation.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Irene Torres.
Survivors include his wife, Adelita Berumen; four sons, Margarito Berumen, Jr. (Hortencia), Adrian Berumen (Leticia), Adam Berumen (Nancy Douglas), Gabriel Berumen (Maria Lopez); two daughters, Silvia Copenhaver (Steven), Idalia Berumen (Ruben Alvarez); six brothers, Jose Berumen (Rosa), Jesus Berumen (Amalia), Juan Berumen (Izaura), Miguel Berumen (Maria Elena), Armando Berumen (Concepcion), Refugio Berumen (Irma), Emeterio Berumen (Irma); three sisters, Magdalena Berumen Garcia (Salvador Gonzales), Candelaria Rocha (Jose), Guadalupe Ruiz (Francisco); twenty-four grandchildren and one on the way and sixteen great-grandchildren and one on the way.
Visitation will be 6:00 -8:00 pm, Friday, October 21, 2016 at the funeral home.
Services are entrusted in the care of Harper-Talasek Funeral Home in Temple.
