Services for Margaret L. Dean, 92, of Temple will be 2:00 p.m., Friday, April 8, at Heights Baptist Church in Temple with Reverend Billy Koinm officiating. A private family burial will take place at another time.
Mrs. Dean died Tuesday, April 5, at a local nursing facility.
Margaret L. Dean was born August 5, 1923 in Whitton, Texas to Bruce Green and Elizabeth Ann Mahler. She married Luther Jackson Dean in Temple, Texas on December 20, 1945, and he preceded her in death. Mrs. Dean was an Information Clerk at Scott & White Memorial Hospital for fifteen years. She was a member of the Red Hat Club, the Christian Singles Group, the Women's Missionary Group of Heights Baptist Church, and taught the Adult Ladies 80 and over Sunday School Class for eighteen years.
Margaret Dean was preceded in death by her parents, Bruce and Elizabeth; her husband, Luther; and a son, Mark Kevin Dean.
She is survived by her daughters, Pamela K. Spinks of Phoenix, Arizona; Cindy A. Sumbling of Wimberly, Texas; and Therese L. Glowney of Temple, Texas; a brother, Fred T. Green and wife Novalene of Belton, Texas; and six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be 6 - 8 p.m. Thursday, April 7, at Harper-Talasek Funeral Home in Temple. For those wishing to pay their respects, Mrs. Dean will be lying in state beginning at 1:00 p.m.
