Marcella Ann Henderson

Marcella Ann Henderson, a devoted and loving wife, and mother passed away Tuesday, January 23, 2024, at the age of 71. Funeral services will be held at 2 pm Friday, February 2, 2024, at Harper-Talasek Funeral Home in Temple. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery in Ballinger, Texas at a later date.

Marcella was born in Ballinger, Texas on May 25, 1952, to Willie James Carson, Jr. and Thelma Organ. She lived a life filled with compassion and dedication towards others. Her unwavering commitment to care for those in need earned her the respect and admiration of all who knew her. Marcella's career as a Nursing Assistant was more than just a job; it was a true calling. Her gentle touch and empathetic nature brought comfort to countless patients and their families. Outside of her noble profession, Marcella had a vibrant spirit that embraced the simple joys of life. She found great pleasure in playing cards, bingo, and dominos. Her laughter would fill the room during games, creating cherished memories that will live on in the hearts of those who shared these moments with her.

Marcella leaves behind a legacy of compassion, selflessness, and love. She is preceded in death by her parents. Survivors include her husband, Edward Henderson; sons, Brian Carson, and Jerry Alexander; daughter, Alicia Yvonne Alexander; granddaughter, Billy Jean Duffie; sister, Charlotte Shepherd; and brother, Jerry Carson.
