Malisa Posada Fernandez

Malisa Posada Fernandez, 51 of Temple, passed from this life Thursday, June 20, 2024, at home. Funeral services will be held at 2 pm Friday, June 28, 2024, at Harper-Talasek Funeral Home in Temple.

Malisa was born on September 15, 1972, to Josephina Mares and Jose Posada in Brownsville, Texas. She moved to Temple in 1990. She was a caring mother and grandmother. She enjoyed hosting holiday parties with family and friends, dancing, and singing karaoke. Malisa was an outgoing, charismatic soul who was loved and cared for by many.

Malisa was preceded by her parents; brother, Silvano Garza; and sister, Rebecca Vargas.

Survivors include sons, Oscar B. Fernandez, and Michael Fernandez; daughter, Alexandra N. Fernandez; brothers, Juan Posada, and Valentine Posada; sisters, Juanita Vargas, Matilde Rocha, Marta Serrata, Alejandra Jaramillo; and 3 grandchildren, Amariyah Carlton, Jalen Palomo, and Camila Palomo.

A time of visitation will be held from 5-7 pm Thursday, June 27, 2024, at the funeral home.
