On Tuesday, November 17th, M H Hill, Jr. began his journey riding high with the Angels through the golden gates of heaven.
A memorial service for M H will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, November 21st at East Highway Baptist Church in Temple with the Reverend Ernest Thompson officiating. As per his wishes, he will be cremated.
M H was born September 4, 1949 in Temple to M H and Kathleen Armstrong Hill. He graduated from Temple High School in 1968 and played varsity football. After high school he served in the United States Air Force where he served in Viet Nam and was stationed in Thailand. He married Kathy Diane Wilson on October 18, 1986 in Temple. M H was the love of her life, her soul mate and her best friend.
M H owned and operated the family business at Hill Sheet Metal and Air Conditioning in Temple for over 35 years. He was very active for many years in his church at East Highway Baptist Church and served as a deacon and enjoyed singing in the choir. Riding his motorcycle was his passion and favorite hobby. He loved riding through the hill country with his riding buddies or going to the motorcycle races in Waco. He always felt wild and free on his bike and enjoyed looking at the beautiful countryside. He was a great father, husband and friend. One of his favorite things to do was watching football and drag races on TV and playing blackjack. M H also loved playing with and agitating Harley, his little Pekingese dog. M H was always full of joy and laughter and truly enjoyed making others laugh with his dry sense of humor. His contagious laugh and wide smile could brighten up any room.
M H was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Loretta Mersiovsky.
He is survived by his wife, Kathy; son, Matthew John Hill and Elissa Moore of Temple; daughter, Tricia Ann Haltom and husband Robert of Kingwood; his beautiful granddaughter, Peyton Leeann Haltom of Kingwood; and his sister, Peggy Fuessel of Belton.
The family would like to request that friends, schoolmates, and family please come to the memorial service and share your happiest and funniest memories of M H. One of his favorite songs the nurse would play and sing with him while he was in the hospital was "Don't Worry, Be Happy", and that's the way he would want everyone to live their lives.
In lieu of flowers, please make donations in M H's memory to either the East Highway Baptist Church at 9828 East Highway 53, Temple Texas 76501, the American Heart Association, or to a charity of your choice.
Honorary pall bearers will be Danny Mersiovsky, Aubrey Smith, Kenneth Frei, Nicky Gandy, Wes Teeters, Doc Tidwell, T J Hollingsworth, and Tim Hopkins.
