Lynna Parker

Services for Lynna Marie Parker, 65, of Dallas will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, January 14, 2014 at HarperTalasek Funeral Home in Temple with Doctor Leroy Kemp officiating. Burial will follow at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Nolanville.

Ms. Parker died Thursday, January 9, at a local hospital.

She was born November 24, 1947, in Bell County, Texas to Brooks Wilson Parker and Mayme Lucille Irwin Parker. She graduated from Belton High School in 1966 and from North Texas State University with a Bachelors degree in microbacteriology. She was a microbacteriologist by profession. She also worked for Mary Kay for 20 years and was a Mary Kay Director for 10 years. She lived in the Dallas area for over 20 years and was a member of First Methodist Church of Dallas. Her love of travel had taken her to many, many places.

Ms. Parker was preceded in death by her parents, Brooks Wilson and Mayme Lucille.

She is survived by a brother, Larry Parker of Temple a sister, Connie Long of Angleton and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be 68 p.m. Monday, January 13, at the funeral home.
