Lynn Stracener

Services for Lynn Stracener, 73, of Temple, will be held at 2:00pm on Wednesday, February 7, 2018 at Harper-Talasek Funeral Home in Temple with Pastor Rick Reed officiating. Burial will follow in procession to Rogers Cemetery.

Mr. Lynn Edward Stracener was born on November 23, 1944 to James Hubert Stracener and Laura Edith Rawlins Stracener in Bell County, Texas. Lynn graduated from Temple High School in 1963. He received engineering experience from Temple and tested without further education. His advancements brought him to service in the City of Houston as Senior Project Manager for the civil engineering group. He retired in 2015. Lynn was a faithful servant to the Lord. He spent his retirement bringing people to the Lord. Mr. Stracener was humble and always helped when he could. He will always be remembered for his gracious heart.

He is preceded in death by his parents, daughter, Tracie Lynn Stracener; one sister, Shirley Ann Kelley

Survivors include one daughter, Michelle Lynn Stracener; one brother, Gary Stracener, four sisters, LauralaNell Mullen, Merle Martin, Beverly Pullen, Pamela Richard and husband Cliff; along with two grandchildren, Mitchell Hopkins and Maxwell Hopkins.
