Luciana Resendez

Luciana Resendez, age 39 of Temple, passed away Thursday, August 26, 2021 at Baylor Scott and White Hospital in Temple. Funeral services will be held at 2 pm Friday, September 3, 2021 at Harper-Talasek Funeral Home in Temple.

Luciana was born October 21, 1981 to Teodora Sustiata Gandara and Luciano O. Resendez in Temple, Texas. She graduated from Temple High School and has been employed with HEB at their distribution center.

Luciana is preceded in death by her father, Luciano O. Resendez.

She is survived by her daughters, Maria Barcenas and Yamari Ortiz; mother, Teodora Sustiata Gandara; stepdad, Jose M. Gandara; sisters, Jennifer Villanueva and Joanna Resendez of Temple; brothers, William Sustiata, Jose M. Villanueva Jr., and Rico Resendez of Temple; stepbrother, Jose Fransico Gandara of Temple; and stepsister, Diana Gandara of Belton.

A time of visitation will be held from 6-8 pm with a Holy Rosary recited at 7 pm Thursday, September 2, 2021 at the funeral home.
