Louis Jimenez

Services for Louis Sylvester Jimenez, Jr., 64, of Temple, will be 10 am, Wednesday, March 14 at Harper-Talasek Funeral Home in Temple with Steven Lane officiating. Burial with military honors will follow in Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Killeen at noon.

Mr. Jimenez passed away Wednesday, March 7, 2018, at a local hospital.

Louis Sylvester Jimenez, Jr. was born December 31, 1953 in Yoakum, Texas to Louis Jimenez and Audelia Gutierrez Jimenez. He enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1973 as a Field Communications Electronics Equipment Mechanic. Upon his medical retirement in 1990, he married Lori Ann Miller. Louis was a Christian by faith and enjoyed being with his family, singing, and playing his guitar and harmonica. He was a diehard Texas Rangers and Dallas Cowboys fan.

Mr. Jimenez was preceded in death by his parents, Louis and Audelia Jimenez.

He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Lori Ann; a son, Tommy Jones; sisters, Rosalinda Jimenez and husband George Martinez, Olga Moreno and husband Israel; and four grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorials in Louis' name may be made to the American Cancer Society.

The family wishes to extend a special thank-you to John Louis Jimenez and the entire Jimenez family for their love and support during this time.

Visitation will be 6 - 8 p.m. Tuesday, March 13, at the funeral home.
